Red Stick Reef Return & Refund Policy

At Red Stick Reef, we take pride in providing healthy livestock, quality aquarium supplies, and accurate product listings. Please review our return and refund policy before placing an order.

Live Coral, Fish, and Invertebrates

All live animal sales are final due to the sensitive nature of transporting aquatic livestock. We do not accept returns on live coral, fish, invertebrates, or other live goods.

WYSIWYG Coral Policy

Many of our coral listings are WYSIWYG, meaning “What You See Is What You Get.” The customer will receive the exact coral shown in the product photo unless otherwise stated.

DOA Policy

We offer a Dead on Arrival (DOA) guarantee on eligible live animal shipments within the continental United States only.

To qualify for DOA coverage:

The package must be accepted on the first delivery attempt.

Clear photos of the unopened bag with the deceased animal must be sent within 2 hours of delivery.

The animal must remain sealed in the original shipping bag until photos are submitted.

DOA claims must be emailed or messaged to Red Stick Reef with your order number, delivery time, and photos.

Approved DOA claims may receive store credit or replacement, at the discretion of Red Stick Reef. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Shipping Delays

Red Stick Reef is not responsible for carrier delays, weather delays, missed deliveries, incorrect addresses, or packages left outside after delivery. However, we will do our best to work with the customer when issues occur.

Dry Goods Returns

Unused dry goods may be eligible for return within 14 days of delivery.

To qualify:

Items must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging.

Customer is responsible for return shipping.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Refunds will be issued after the item is received and inspected.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

Live coral, fish, and invertebrates
Opened or used aquarium supplies
Frozen or refrigerated foods
Special orders
Clearance or sale items
Gift cards

Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled before they are packed or shipped. Once an order has been packed, shipped, or prepared for livestock delivery, it cannot be canceled.

Refund Method

Approved refunds will be issued back to the original payment method or as store credit, depending on the situation. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
