1. General Terms

Red Stick Reef provides live coral, fish, invertebrates, aquarium supplies, and related products. By using this website, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your state or have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, limit quantities, or update these terms at any time.

2. Product Availability

All products are subject to availability. Live coral, fish, and invertebrates may sell quickly and may become unavailable before inventory updates are reflected online.

Red Stick Reef reserves the right to substitute, cancel, or refund items if they become unavailable, unhealthy, damaged, or unsuitable for sale or shipment.

3. Live Animal Purchases

By purchasing live coral, fish, or invertebrates, you understand that live aquatic animals require proper care, stable water conditions, and appropriate acclimation.

Red Stick Reef is not responsible for livestock loss caused by improper acclimation, poor water quality, incompatible tank mates, pests, disease, stress after delivery, or failure to provide proper aquarium conditions.

4. WYSIWYG Coral Policy

Many coral listings are WYSIWYG, meaning “What You See Is What You Get.” For WYSIWYG listings, the customer will receive the exact coral shown in the product photo unless otherwise stated.

Color may vary slightly due to lighting, camera settings, filters, aquarium lighting, screen settings, and viewing conditions.

5. Pricing and Product Information

We make every effort to provide accurate pricing, descriptions, photos, and availability. However, errors may occur.

Red Stick Reef reserves the right to correct errors, update listings, cancel orders, or refuse transactions due to incorrect pricing, inaccurate product details, or website mistakes.

6. Payment

Payment must be completed at checkout before an order is processed. By submitting payment, you confirm that you are authorized to use the selected payment method.

Orders may be held, canceled, or refunded if payment is declined, flagged, or suspected of fraud.

7. Shipping

Shipping is available only to locations we choose to service. Live animal shipping is limited to the continental United States only unless otherwise stated.

Customers are responsible for providing a correct shipping address, phone number, and email address at checkout.

Red Stick Reef is not responsible for losses caused by:

Incorrect shipping information
Carrier delays
Weather delays
Missed delivery attempts
Packages left outside after delivery
Customer failure to receive the shipment
Unopened or delayed package retrieval

8. DOA Policy

Live animal purchases may be covered by our Dead on Arrival policy when all requirements are met.

To qualify, the package must be accepted on the first delivery attempt, and clear photos of the deceased animal in the unopened original bag must be submitted within the required claim window.

Shipping charges are non-refundable. Approved DOA claims may be handled by store credit or replacement at the discretion of Red Stick Reef.

9. Returns and Refunds

Live coral, fish, invertebrates, and other live goods are final sale and cannot be returned.

Dry goods may be eligible for return only if unused, unopened, and in original packaging within the stated return window.

Refunds, credits, or replacements are issued at the discretion of Red Stick Reef and in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.

10. Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled only before they are packed, prepared, shipped, or scheduled for livestock delivery.

Once an order has been packed, shipped, or prepared for delivery, it cannot be canceled.

11. Local Pickup

Customers selecting local pickup are responsible for picking up their order within the agreed timeframe.

Red Stick Reef is not responsible for livestock loss if a customer fails to pick up the order on time or delays pickup beyond the agreed arrangement.

12. Customer Responsibilities

By purchasing from Red Stick Reef, you agree to:

Provide accurate order and shipping information
Be available for live animal delivery
Properly acclimate livestock
Maintain suitable aquarium conditions
Research compatibility and care requirements before purchase
Contact Red Stick Reef promptly if an issue occurs

13. Prohibited Use

You may not use this website for unlawful purposes, fraudulent activity, unauthorized resale, harassment, abuse, hacking, scraping, or any activity that interferes with the operation of the website.

14. Website Content

All logos, photos, product descriptions, graphics, and website content are the property of Red Stick Reef unless otherwise stated. Content may not be copied, reused, or redistributed without permission.

15. Limitation of Liability

Red Stick Reef is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages related to the use of our website, products, livestock, shipping, delays, or aquarium losses.

Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific product involved in the claim, excluding shipping charges.
